چکیده
In a smart grid system, different types of electricity users such as residential, commercial and industrial have utility functions. This paper proposes nonlinear constrained optimization model for real-time pricing that maximizes the total utilities all user groups. A Karush–Kuhn–Tucker equation system is employed to solve model. However, it challenging task due complementary condition. To tackle challenge, cosh-based smoothing approximation function proposed substitute Subsequently, Newton algorithm developed new system. The global convergence local quadratic are proved. Numerical experiments performed test method compare solutions pricing, fixed time-of-use strategies applied in results show mechanism most suitable saving energy reducing peaks troughs consumption. also indicates effective use problem grid. We obtain supply–demand balance constraints

This paper proposes an improved approach to our previous work [11]. [11] uses Stackelberg game to model the interactions between electricity retailer and its customers and genetic algorithms are used to obtain the Stackelberg Equilibrium (SE). In this paper, we propose a bi-level programming model by considering benefits of the electricity retailer (utility company) and its customer. In the upp...
متن کاملAggregate Demand-Based Real-Time Pricing Mechanism for the Smart Grid: A Game-Theoretic Analysis
Managing peak energy demand is a critical problem for energy utilities. The energy costs for the peak periods form a major component of their overall costs. Real-time pricing mechanisms have been explored as a means of flattening the demand curve and reducing the energy costs. In this paper, we examine a model of ex-post real-time pricing mechanism that can be used by the utilities for this pur...
متن کاملReal Time Pricing Based Power Scheduling for Domestic Load in Smart Grid
The concept of shaping domestic and commercial loads can be an effective way of controlling the load profile of a distribution company. Flat energy rates don’t provide incentives to customers to use power as would be optimal from a utility point of view. Price of energy should be fluctuating according to peak or off peak load condition. Smart meters can offer solution to this by allowing sophis...
متن کاملAgent-Based Modeling of Day-Ahead Real Time Pricing in a Pool-Based Electricity Market
In this paper, an agent-based structure of the electricity retail market is presented based on which day-ahead (DA) energy procurement for customers is modeled. Here, we focus on operation of only one Retail Energy Provider (REP) agent who purchases energy from DA pool-based wholesale market and offers DA real time tariffs to a group of its customers. As a model of customer response to the offe...
